About Us

Nam's Ropa started with a simple frustration: standard sizing doesn't fit standard bodies — because there's no such thing. Founded by Mallik N. in 2001, we set out to build a brand where the size chart adjusts to you, not the other way around.

Every piece is made to order. You choose the length, the fit, the neckline, the sleeve — even the fabric, for some styles. We cut and sew it to your exact measurements after you order, which means two things: you get clothes that actually fit the first time, and we never end up with racks of unsold inventory in your size or anyone else's. No overproduction, no leftover stock, no waste.

What that means for you

Most of what our customers tell us comes down to three things: they finally feel confident in something made for their actual body, they get asked where it's from, and it just fits — no trip to the tailor afterward. That's the whole reason custom exists. A dress that's a little too tight at the bust or a little too long at the hem isn't a "close enough" — it's a dress you'll wear once and never again.

Where it's made

Our design and customer team is based in the United States. Manufacturing happens at our facility in Noida, India, where every garment is cut and sewn specifically for the person who ordered it. We're fully compliant with Indian labor law, and every employee has health and life insurance, paid sick leave, and a pension plan for themselves and their spouse. Ethical production isn't a footnote for us — it's part of why made-to-order works in the first place. When you only make what's already sold, you don't need to cut corners to move volume.

How customization actually works

You tell us your measurements once. You pick the silhouette, the length, the fit through the waist and bust, and in some styles the fabric and color. We build the pattern around you and ship it — no guessing your size against a chart designed around an "average" that doesn't really exist.
